‑ Peter Debruge, Variety
"The debuting Suzi Yoonessi ably remains the right side of twee in turning her adolescent journal into a delightful misfit comedy."
‑ David Parkinson, Guardian
"A meticulously constructed, organic comedy that passes along some enchanting flights of fancy, using its exquisite Alaskan settings to mold a unique personality that further enhances the viewing experience."
‑ Brian Orndorf,
"The filmmaker knows how to gently skew reality just enough to offset the excess cuteness."
‑ Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times
"A spoonful of sugar, to say nothing of bright pastel colors and friendly bunny rabbits, helps the medicine go down in the sometimes ungainly but often winning prep school comedy Dear Lemon Lima."
‑ Kirk Honeycutt, Hollywood Reporter
"Quirky coming-of-age dramedy is sweet, but strained."
‑ S. Jhoanna Robledo, Common Sense Media
"It's more appealing than anything Hollywood has recently offered the 8- to 13-year-old female demographic."
‑ Karina Longworth, L.A. Weekly
"A gifted cast of young actors and a darkly comic outlook make the charming "Dear Lemon Lima" anything but sour."
‑ Julie Washington, Cleveland Plain Dealer
"Dear Lemon Lima is a quirky beauty of a film with its cotton-candy colors, Miranda July-esque sensibility, and its embracing of alienation as a source of creativity."
‑ Diego Costa, Slant Magazine
