Great dark, wicked little flick with some excellent effects and good performances from everyone except Willis hehe he was miscast in my opinion. In a lovely 'Tim Burton' style this film jests around the life after death idea in a nice original way much like 'Beetlejuice'. I like ...( read more)how people come back to life exactly the way they died eg. if your head was cut off then in death your walking around with your head under your arm haha

Its not hilarious but it did very well on release and you can understand why, a good nights entertainment if you enjoy the grimly dark side of things :)

Black comedy about Madeline Ashton, a fading actress who steals the fiancé of her longtime rival, Helen Sharp. Years later, Madeline feels compelled to try a miracle cure for aging, after seeing how well her nemesis has aged. At best, the film is a delightful romp, infused with...( read more) satire and wit. At worst. it's a stridently hyperactive shell of a film, overshadowed by freakish special effects. The problem, is that the movie is both and the story constantly vacillates between these two extremes. Luckily there are enough inspired moments to recommend this well acted, albeit campy film.

Funny black comedy. Bruce leaves Goldie for Meryl. Goldie seeks revenge to steal Bruce back and kill Meryl. Both women are ageing but they discover an immortality potion. Great cast. Great special effects for its day.

Some funny scenes in this light hearted, black comedy. Meryl Streep, as you?ve never seen her before.

A fun watch, but one to wait for on tv.

"Some people will go to any lengths to stay young forever. But Madeline Ashton and her old friend Helen Sharp are about to go TOO far."

Bruce Wil...( read more)lis usually gets typecast as a strong, macho man so it was such a surprise to see him play an introspective, under the thumb wimp in this movie, in one of his best performances! Willis easily outshines both Streep and Hawn in this movie. This is a pure black comedy, a brilliant social satire on society's obsession with beauty and the sheer lengths some people will go to to ensure that they are continually perceived by others in the most attractive light possible. Truly a once in a lifetime experience this movie, with Bruce Willis giving one of his most underrated performances ever! You'll laugh and be horrified at the same time, which is an extremely difficult feat, which was only pulled off by a skilled writer and director.

I can hardly remeber this one but I would love to see it again... Saw it again and it was amazing. Hilariouis the whole way through...great roles played by Willis, Streep, and Hawn. Hawn had an especially funny characteristic attributed to her role as Helen.

This is a dark comedy. Stars Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. Basically about these two women rivals fighting for immortality. Of course we learn that real immortality comes from ones children. This is a solid story that does provide a few laughs. The performances all ...( read more)around are decent. Worth maybe a wone time watch.
