    Seriously, how can you not love a movie with David Carradine running around in a loincloth fighting "destructocycles"?

    A psuedo-sequel to Death Race 2000. Like the prequel, only with motorcycles and lasers...I fucking hate lasers.

    Lacking the dark comedic edge of Deathrace 2000, Deathsport is a rather toothless affiar in comparision and was only completed after Corman steeped in to take over the Director's chair. With a threadbare plot, mangled dialogue and a listless cast (Carradine in particular looks bored rigid), this low-budget flick never really finds its feet. Sure it has its moments of unintentional humour ( the light bulb torture scene is particularly amusing) and Playboy Playmate Claudia Jeenings adds a little glamour (she tragically was killed in a car accident after this film) but it just isn't enough to fully satsify the need of cult film fans.

    NB - Listen out for the blatant rip-off of Star Wars sound effects.
