Delicious Little Devil
Although a bit slow to get off the ground, this witty film shows what star Mae Murray and her director husband, Robert Z. Leonard, could do with a good concept. Mae plays Mary McGuire, a girl of extremely modest means. She's a coat-check girl, but gets fired from her job for dancing around in a customer's expensive coat (Murray, an ex-Follies girl, always favored an opportunity to strut her stuff). A road house just outside of town is looking for a hostess with "experience," and the innocent Mary bluffs her way into the job by claiming to be Gloria du Monde, a European dancer… More
