Being a Larry fan will help you enjoy this movie. This has a decent story line, but not a great movie. This has the atmosphere that kids would enjoy, however there are adult situations here that would not work for minors (or rather their parents).
i didn't really like it, but the beginning was hilarious.
"it's not your baby." "what??" "what she means is there's a bun in her oven that ain't your recipe. but never mind that. is the salad bar still free?" "why should you care? you don't look like you've ever had a salad in your entire life!"
Well this film set some new standards for how bad a film can be made. I knew what type of humor to expect since I had seen one of Larry's standups, but this just showed he can't act for shit, and neither could anyone else in this film. The humor was childish instead of being vulgar (what it should have been). Oh and no blood or deaths, made this film seem like it was intended just for kids. Guess I'll stick to Larry's stand ups then, at least there he's not afraid to really take the piss out of someone. Overall - Complete Garbage.
I was expecting Bill Engvall and Larry the cable guy's wit to come out and show itself; only one problem, it never did show. Watch the Health Inspector, it's much better. This movie is rated pg-13 for language, violence and sexual references and innuendo. Only teens and up.
Starts a little slow then picks up to a good pace. Fun flick-a must see if you do DVD by mail. If you are a redneck-well, then you have to see it!!! It is a good comedy.
I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it was hillarious. I love to watch Larry the Cable Guy, and he was really funny in this movie. I also really liked DJ Qualls. He is back to his typical role in this movie. The movie itself was very predictable and not really that impressive of a story line, but it was really funny.
OK so I wasn't really interested in watching the movie when it showed up from NetFlix, but for some reason I was drawn in by the end and laughing at the dumb jokes. It starts off slow and predictable but by the end you are trying to figure out which way the joke is going to go to that predictable end. Good for a "I just want to watch a dumb funny movie" evening.
I feel kinda guilty for actually laughing at a few parts. It had an interesting premise, but the sheer idiocy drove this movie to the ground... with a few big names, I guess I'd expect a bit more. It's a terrible movie, but it managed to get a chuckle outta me (the whole Carlos Santana bit). Hey, it's not as bad as Epic Movie... but it's still pretty bad. Heh, go ahead and laugh at the fact that I managed to sit down and watch this crap.
^_^
I'm giving it 1 star because Danny Trejo is always funny. The rest of the cast is painful to watch, along with a pretty much stupid story. It's not funny at all...
