How can you pass on this, Cary Grant as a American sub skipper on a secret misson to Tokyo Bay. OK it may be a little hokley by today's standards, but it was the "hot stuff" back during the war. I a nice job to John Garfield and Allen Hale, too!. . . .

a serviceable service picture that fails to make adequate use of Cary Grant. overt propaganda and racism shows the age of this one.

I like Cary Grant and submarine movies, so it gets an extra star for that. The underwater scenes were interesting to look at given 1940's film technology.
