Great thrikller with All star B-cast. Was on the shelf for a long time, because of bad screening. I liked it!!

MCT:October 31, 2007I really have nothing worthy to say about this one. And it's not that I have a poor ability to gather words in order to form a coherent text, or that I think whatever I may have to say is not worthy of people's attention. It's just that this movie is so plain and dull and basic that there's really nothing substantial enough to say on its behalf.
Nonetheless, they were there, they worked really hard (yeah, they actually did... they were sweating like pigs and Stallone's head veins were popping out like crazy... no, I said veins, not brains... that would be impossible), they tried like hell to make a thriller out of this movie, and - more importantly - they didn't make me puke.
So, one star for not making me have to mop the floor and another one for the remaining reasons. -

MCT:April 11, 2007Predictability sets in early inD-Tox, a formulaic and basic suspense-mysery Hollywood movie. The storyhas been done time and time again, and in more ways than one, this movie was made merely to get Sylvester Stallone-(known for his Rocky and Rambp movies) into a more serious genre. In fairness to Stallone, he isn't a bad actor, but I am sorry to say he isn't a good one either.
Jim Gillespie-(director of I Know What You Did Last Summer) puts in some extremely pedestrian direction to an already weak script which reminded me a lot of the 2002 movie Identity-(for the record Identity is a far superior film)
Gillespie puts in a fair bit of blood and gore, but fails to build up any suspense, and the scenes that try to be suspenseful are lacklustre at best.
The twist is obvious and extremely predictable. If you are looking for a really good modern Murde-rmystery. Go watch Identity with John Cusack.
Leave D-Tox on the shelf. -

how come this movie is so bad with dialogue?! and the acting was really bad! this is one time i was sorry to watch a movie.

This got a bad rap, but it's not as bad as you'd expect. Stallone is a strange choice for the lead, but he does OK. The revelation of whodunnit is a let down, though, due to its almost stereotypical predictability.

D-Tox is a good movie in some ways, and a mediocre one in others. It's quite memorable, for me anyway.
