In a city ravaged by violent crime, the police department's anti-gang task force uses any means at its disposal to get the bad guys off the streets, with cops often acting as judge, jury and execution...( read more  read more... )er. As the unit's self-justifying brutality and corruption spiral further out of control, gang member-turned-cop Armando Sancho begins to question the life he and his partner Salim Adel have chosen. So when Internal Affairs agents investigating the division's abuses offer him a deal to come clean about the unit's misdeeds, Sancho must decide whether to heed his conscience or his loyalty to his fellow officers. On the hot, smoggy day Salim and Sancho are scheduled to testify to IA, the two rogue cops agree to run a lucrative, illegal operation for the station's top brass. As their increasingly bloody mission takes them from one end to the other of the sprawling city they've sworn to protect and serve, Salim and Sancho learn that getting clean isn't nearly as easy as being "Dirty."

    This is no Training day, it's dark, violent noir that fails to deliver in it's story. It's highly stylized but very dull with a waste of a good cast.

    Really NOT bad at all, despite the fact that Cuba Gooding Jr. tries, but fails(greatly) to match Denzel's Oscar winning Training Day performance.

    This movie is one of those that a lot of people hadn't heard of but I really wanted to see. Once again mainly because of Cole Hauser but I also like Cuba Gooding Jr. This is about ex-gang members becoming cops and then they become dirty cops.

I was really surprised at how good he was in this role. Clifton Collins Jr. plays his partner and long time friend. He is kind of unsure about what they are doing through the whole movie and really wants to be a good cop. But he follows his partners lead and does what he does. Cole Hauser plays a detective that ends up leading the dirty cops. He does a good job at playing a bad cop and at playing a bad guy at that. This is a really good movie that didn't get respect. I think it deserves respect and deserves a watch.

    I Started out liking it, and end up hating it, and then ended up enjoying it some more, until the heartbreaking ending.

    Man! I love dirty cop movies but this one was a little poor especially when compared to the best of its kind; "training day" despite the great Cuba Gooding Jr.
