Not the best Disney, but some of the best Robin Williams ever. I thought the woman's costume was obnoxious. A Muslim woman would not dress that way under any circumstances.

One of my favourite Disney films with the best Disney villain ever!! It has some well written and memorable songs and the animation is as always superb. The genie especially is hilarious! (22.7.08)

I was 9 when this came out. I still remember watching it in the movies, and then going to buy it on VHS at Costco. And as an adult I bought the special edition DVD a few years ago.

A lovely warm-hearting family film involving courage, love and friendship. I think Genie is amazing. He is absolutely hilarious. I would love to have powers like that. But not become a Genie. Oscar worthy songs (Especially "A Whole New World").One of the most successful animated features ever; easy to see why. Visually, its a treat, a perfect marriage of hi-tech graphics and the traditional Disney virtue of strong characterisation and colour. The script crackles with wit and life. Williams Genie is matched by Freemans malevolent Jafar, and by Gottfried as Jafars wisecracking parrot Iago. The only disappointments are the wet Aladdin and his sweetheart Jasmine and five rather ordinary songs.

One of the reasons it's possible for Americans to kill all them damned hajis - shameful racism from the minds of those fucked up Disney folks who have taught us so much about romance and the peoples of the world!

The best animated movie of 1992, Aladdin tells the legendary tale of Aladdin and his Magic Lamp as a cartoon. A street youth befriends a magical geenie, Robin Williams, to win the hand of a beautiful princess. Great sotry, even if it ISN'T one of the Arabian Knights stories, despite what the song implies in it. Actually Ali Addin and the Lamp is based on a Chinese story, but since American studios get it wrong all the time with their source material, the wrong version is somehow right. And Disney, they do actually cut off robber's hands, so that song could have stayed okay from the theatrical print. Still a magical movie despite the weird stuff surrounding it, and its releases. Stands the test of time as a classic, even though really it won't be classic FILM per se until 2022.

Favorite cartoon movie EVER! So loving and lighthearted this film a fascination in itself. Funny and meaningful it is truly a work of art! Genie was the most lovable and most easy to watch as he danced around on screen granting wishes and being smart-mouthed made him my favorite character of all time! Aladdin was my biggest crush when I was young. I wanted to be just like him with Abu and everything! Which led to so many great adventures as a kid. Jasmine was and will always be the ultimate Disney Princess. She has a pet tiger and that's enough. :P The movie alone stands to time indefinate as the most original and inspiring film of all time. Everyone young and old should see this film!

This was pretty scary for a kid's flick, but then again, so are all of Walt's movies. What's up with that?

I love the music in ths movie. Robin Williams did a great job as the genie. I also like how Aladdin had to make up for the lies he told by himself.

One of my favorite childhood movies, a great success in animation with some of the greatest songs out there, specially "A Whole New World": the instant love classic. Aladdin manages to create a simple and famous story into a complex movie, with so many characters to love (and hate). One of the most magical films by Disney, to me it kind of descends the quality after Disney's masterpiece Beauty and the Beast, but still this is a great movie! And also, Robin William's performance as the Genie makes it even better, one of the most entertaining voice-works for any animated movie, funny and clever, Robin Williams surprises even "dressed" as an animated character. This movie is a timeless classic, recommended to every children, I hope this movies will not die to show them to my kids, Disney's return changed my life and the one of thousands of people, specially those who were children in the 90's!
