Yet another good quality animated Marvel adventure. Dr Strange is not one of the most famous characters out there but he's pretty interesting. Here he comes across as House MD. A doctor that is rude and becoming less and less concerned about helping people. An accident soon robs ...( read more)him of the ability to use his hands. This is a great plot device and makes a change from the dead loved one schtick (though he has one of them as well). Monsters, magic, demons and sorcery come thick and fast. The story is pretty basic, as with many origin stories. A shame as this could have been something really different.

this was the weakest of the marvel animated films so far, but it was still good enough to watch. the story was slow and the build up uninteresting, but it was cool to see dr strange come about. the time spent as sorcerer supreme was also limited and unsatisfying. this should h...( read more)ave been much better but it was still good enough to leave me encouraged about the marvel animated films.

I never followed Doc Strange when I was a kid unless he crossed over with Spider-Man so I can't comment on how much it varies or is similar to his origins but I can say it is extremely slooooow. At 1hr 16min it feels like about 2. It spends most of the running time having Strange...( read more) learning how to deal with his damaged hands and having him perform Karate Kid-like tasks. Once he comes into his own though its entertaining enough.

    This was done very well

Weeellllll.....It sort of kind of bore a passing resemblance to the comic. A bit too much "Batman Begins" there at the beginning. Not a riveting watch, but not too bad either. A good time filler.

This the fourth animated movie in the series! After "Ultimate Avengers", Ultimate Avengers 2:Rise of the panther and "Iron Man" this is one great addition! From these four movies I enjoyed this one the best! Why? Because I didn't know much about Dr. Strange! It is really fun to l...( read more)earn more about this super hero! (I remember seeing him in a Spiderman comic and that he was specialized in the supernatural and magic! That was it!) This movie does a hell of a job in showing who he is and what he is capable of! Of course the length of the movie didn't allow further knowledge surrounding the character! But we learn enough in a very fast pace! Personally I didn't want this movie to end! I loved every minute of it! Because of the magic and mysticism that surrounds this marvel hero the visual effects are very impressive and beautiful! But what stuck me the most was the attention to the psyche of the main character (Strange)! You'll be witness of a big change in personality! This character development is not something we see often in cartoons about super heroes! That is the main reason why I love Marvel Comics! Even these superheroes have human problems to deal with! They are not perfect and are just as flawed as we are! "Dr. Strange" is the best in this series of animated marvel movies! And surely won't be the last! Keep 'em coming!

Not the best of the Marvel animated fare and definitely not up to the DC quality of animated movies but it's not horrible in fact it's on the decent side of things. A little too dark for children but not so dark that you'll rush out and tell all your grown up friends about the m...( read more)ovie.

A good cartoon for young teenagers.
