A decent cheesy splatter flick from the early '70s, Don't Look in the Basement has its charm. The acting is silly and over-the-top, the twist ending is hammy and clumsy, and the actual basement plays a very small role in the whole thing - making this one of those mindless flicks...( read more)

Ironically this film is also known as "The Forgotten" and it damn well should be!

Definately weird...unfortunately the twist ending could be seen a mile away. I think they could've taken this much farther and make it actually scary, but it was all just mediocre.

The biggest problems with the flick are the miniscule budget and the slow pace BUT the script is fairly original, the acting is actually decent, bordering on pretty good for a few characters.

This title is quite is pretty misleading as it's about a hospital for the mentally insane but it definetly held my attention throughout just cause it's strange and weird and has fun twists and such.

This has become somewhat a cult classic, but I am not sure why, it?s not very good, and it?s not bad enough to be laughably entertaining. It?s just a low budget 1970?s horror film, thats badly acted and has a lame plot.

This was a pretty cool movie. Watched it last night. I got a kick out of it. I think that horror fans should take a peek at it.
