yet another twin brothers plotline from van damme...he just loves to see two of himself on the screen haha i admit when i was a teen i loved this film, it does have some good action sequences and some good fights, this is mainly down to it being in van dammes 'eastern film' period with the likes of bloodsport and kickboxer, and using the same talented eastern cast members that were used in both mentioned films.
So yes this is in hong kong again but that adds to the scenery and style of the film nicely. its predictable and hammy sure but van damme still did the buisness really well back then and we all kinda loved him for it. the double effects on van damme arent too bad either...sort of :) your typical 80's flick really,long haired baddies,big female assasins and oodles of neat little quotes. -
MCT:May 11, 2008from what i've seen so far from van damme's filmography, this has got to be his best, great martial arts, gunfights but not great acting but i didn't care, i don't care too much about acting skill in a action movie unless they're really bad but this was was a minor complaint. i guess i just expect less as far as acting when it comes to action movies.

An extremely poor film that is just so much fun to watch and worth a viewing .....
Jean-Claude is just hilarious to watch and he makes attempts to seperate the twins personalities. He tries so hard but he is so limited in his abilities that it is just jaw droppingly bad. The rest of the cast don't fare any better either. At least there's consistency here. -

Without doubt, the funniset film I have sseen in a while...
Putting that comment in context however, this is a very poor film in terms of acting, directing, plot and dialogue etc. It's because of this that it becomes so watchable.
Jean-Claude is just hilarious to watch and he makes attempts to seperate the twins personalities. He tries so hard but he is so limited in his abilities that it is just jaw droppingly bad. The rest of the cast don't fare any better either. At least there's consistency here.
The action stuff meets 80's standards and obviously this is where Jean-Claude can deliver the goods. The way that it is all put together is just poor though. The main bad guys are standard fare but have the best names ever (Zang & Nigel, how cool is that... A drug kingpin named Nigel...).
An extremely poor film that is just so much fun to watch and worth a viewing just for Jean-Claude's impression at the end of Eddie Murphy's freeze frame from the end of Beverly Hills cop. Just hysterical viewing..... -

Although i didn't enjoy this as much as Bloodsport it was two van damme's for the price of one!At the time i thought that was great,now im not so sure.I also remember there being a really fit girl in this somewhere and jean-claude having a sexual fantasy about her while on a boat,looking out to see!

A great action-packed film with Jean-Claude Van Damme as twin brothers who get together to avenge their parents death. A great cast, love the action and the characters.

Very good movie. I was so excited when I saw this movie (I was 10 years old). Because I had a lot of passion for imitating the martial art's talent shown by Jean Claude.
