If I really take the time to point out all the wrong doings that were done here...well...that's just alot of wrong doings...but I did enjoy the end though >.<

If you were begging for a more adult power Rangers then you just found the perfect movie.

Well its not that bad come on. A cross of Star Wars, Godzilla, king kong, Jurassic Park and all other monster flicks. The effects are alright, very good for Korea but less so for Hollywood, but they still look fairly good, the only real problem is when people are blue screened ag...( read more)ainst the action, then its obvious. The plot, like alot of Eastern movies, is confusing, with lots of odd names, sorcerers, magic and creatures running around, you lose it big time. The acting is slightly below average but you can live with it. The main claim to fame here is an awesome monster battle between US soldiers and dragons and all manner of warriors with weird weapons, including a pretty good 'Star Wars' style Apache choppers vs flying dragons through skyscraper trenches section, probably the best part. On the whole I quite liked it, its fun stuff and actually beats 'Reign of Fire' thats for sure.

The story is not outstanding. Ethan is the hero, but he doesn't quite know what he is supposed to do. Sarah is confused at the beginning, but she catches on by the end of the movie.

CGI are everywhere in the second half of the movie. I didn't like the two snakes fighting at t...( read more)he end of the movie. Unless you are following intently, it is pretty easy to confuse grey with black. Interesting that when I saw this movie a second time about a year after the first, the only thing I remembered about the movie was the snakes/dragons battle near the end of the movie.

I know that Dragon Wars was made with a fairly big budget, but it has "Sci-Fi Channel movie" written all over it. There's nothing polished or redeeming about this waste of time.

Most of the actors are unknowns, the plot is something that an 9 year-old would dream up, and the sp...( read more)ecial effects are really not that impressive. The last battle sequence between the two serpents is fairly cool, but the rest of the movie is simply dross. A Sci-Fi channel original may have actually been marginally better.

Apart from the average SFX this movie is pretty dire. Bad acting all around with a ridiculous plot. Rather painful to watch. Steer well clear.

It cannot be that difficult to make a film about dragons waging war upon the earth, it really can't. Reign Of Fire tried but forgot to inculde any actual battling. And this film is just a mess: from the massively over-complicated plot to the terrible acting and the ropey CGI. It'...( read more)s so bad I refuse to write another word about it.

If you truly want to enjoy as much of your time on this world, then avoid this film. It is a terrible missed opportunity, that takes many marketable elements, mixes them together, and produced a film with very little to recommend it. The fusion between Korean and Western is pot...( read more)entially interesting, the creature design great, and the cast decent - while the whole affair is backed by a solid Steve Jablonsky score. The cards are in place and the concept is interesting, but the plot and characters poorly developed, with screentime instead devoted to monotonous, boring and laughable chase sequences and the Red Dwarf VIII quality CGI (bad enough for the TV comedy, but disastrous for a 'serious' cinematic blockbuster). It's a shame the first Korean foray into big budget films is such a catastrophe, and I hope it does not prevent investment in future Korean blockbusters. There's so much superb talent out there, and the Korea film industry has established itself as goldmine of masterful, original and rich movies, and should not be judged by 'Dragon Wars'.
