To establish an alibi, the innocent Von Eltz claims that he was getting married at the time the accident occurred. This obliges him to enter into matrimony with Lois Wilson, who has offered to wed anyone for any reason so long as she is paid $5000 to finance an operation for her father. After all this trouble, Von Eltz is arrested anyway and is on the verge of being convicted when crusading reporter Raymond Hatton digs up an unimpeachable witness who will verify that our hero was not driving the fatal car. The question remains: Will Von Eltz stay married to Wilson, even though he doesn't need her any more? ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
