    The first East Side Kids comedy, and the first with Bela Lugosi. Reportedly, this was made to capitalize on the success of the Abbott and Costello horror-comedy, Ghosts on the Loose (which would make a great double-bill). The gang gets sent to the country in order to spend time c...( read more)amping, but soon get themselves in trouble. While taking a short-cut through a cemetery, the groundskeeper shoots one of the gang. They seek help at the closest residence which happens to inhabited by someone they believe to be of the undead. They think he has turned their injured friend into one too. Of the three horror-comedies I have seen by these folks (this, Ghosts on the Run and Boys of the City), this was my 2nd favorite (if mostly for seeing Lugosi as a ?vampire? in near perfect form).
