    Probably the best "coming out" story I've seen on screen. Good story with great acting for such a low budget film, although I have to admit that some of the voice over dubbing was bad in that "is there an echo in this room?" kind of way. I especially appreciated the fact that it ...( read more)brought up the problems with gentrification in ways that "gay cinema" usually refuses to acknowledge.

    This was a pretty good movie. I would have rated it higher - because the story was good, except a few of the characters were really irritating therefore a lower rating. René Alvarado was good though, I felt that he portrayed his character well. This movie had lots of good conflic...( read more)ts to work out. There was latino vs. white, gay vs. straight, in vs. out. The story was quite good. It was just in the acting that there were parts that lacked and the writing of certain characters wasnt the best. Not bad though.

    This is such a good movie. Proves that staying in the closet kills your soul. Hated the stereotypical screaming queen from Alabama but unfortunately some part of that stereotype is true.

    The story touches upon homophobia and racism in the eastern suburbs of Los Angeles. Some great performances. The DVD cover is highly misleading, however.
