The worst B director in Hollywood history has somehow made a story about him with A list budget and cast kinda lame.

An amazing film based on the ambiguous life of Edward D. Wood Jr. whom is renowned for making numerous poorly made films such as Glen or Glenda and Plan 9 From Outer Space. Johnny Depp delivers and amazing performance, as usual, but Martin Landau steals the show as Béla Lugosi in...( read more)
in the strange city of Hollywood ed wood might have been the aces this movie is a strange ride into the mind of an idiot/geniuses world
Every single one of my favorite actors makes a lovely woman--Tim Curry, Robin Williams, and Johnny Depp. I wear my wife's angora sweaters, too.
GREAT MOVIE, I laughed I cried I got scared I laughed harder, I'm saying if you want to see a movie that will make you laugh till you almost die and then flip the story around and make you wana cry, if you want a movie that is SO PERFECT IT MAKES YOU WANA SMACK YOUR MOTHER, WATCH...( read more)
Abit slow in parts, but sincerly charming, funny and surprizingly inspirational.
I loved the black and white.. It was quite original. I loved the use of shadows, pure old style.. I quite enjoyed it too.. :)
As a weird person myself (I've even been told so this very morning), I thoroughly empathize with the protagonist of this movie. This is a true film (as opposed to a Hollywood ride, for instance), with beautiful black and white cinematography, and a true love of its subject. Moreo...( read more)
Ed Wood combines all my favorite things in cinema. From dark comedy to whimsical romance.
You can try try try and still get nothing...there's something of Ed Wood in me and...maybe you.

Johnny Depp suprises me once again disappearing behind the character.
Under-rated, Johnny Depp/Tim Burton movie. SO GOOD, it's PERFECT! Martin Landau, Johnny Depp, & Bill Murray are flawless. A very rare treat...
''Why if I had half a chance, I could make an entire movie using this stock footage. The story opens on these mysterious explosions. Nobody knows what's causing them, but it's upsetting all the buffalo. So, the military are called in to solve the mystery.''
''You forgot the oc...( read more)
Burton at his best! A complete masterpiece! The direction is perfect. Landau and Depp are absolutley wonderful - why wasn't Depp nominated for this?! Anyway, a perfect movie overall.
This movie gave me a whole different perspecitve on movie making. It follows director Ed Wood, who was quite possibly the worst director of all time. Depp gives us a different performance than the strange ones we're used to. Cross dressing Wood tries to make it big in the movie b...( read more)
One of the worst movies I've seen starring Johnny Depp and directed by Burton...
I really liked this movie. I'm happy Johnny is confident enough to dress like a woman for all to see, it is magnificent.
'When it came to making bad movies, Ed Wood was the best.'
Maybe it was just Johnny Depp doing the striptease in woman's clothing.. but I really, really enjoyed watching this film. Johnny Depp working together with Tim Burton again, nothing can go wrong with this dynamic duo. ...( read more)
A real blast to watch....
There is somethig about this flick, it has such a sweet nature to it and I loved hanging out with Ed, Bela and co.
You have to hand it to Tim, the guy picks some interesting stories to make. In a way it kinda reminded me of Bowfinger in terms of ...( read more)
"Transvestites! I need transvestites!"
My favorite film by Tim Burton. Landau's turn as Bela Lugosi is amazing. I usually watch this one once a year.
I make movies, so I can certainly understand the plight of poor Eddie Wood. Johnny Depp is beyond brilliant in this movie, as is Martin Landau....and everyone else for that matter. Tim Burton's BEST, IMHO. This is my 3rd favorite movie.
