  Jason Horton and Blaine Cade go supernatural with <i>Edges of Darkness</i> and it just goes downhill from there.</p><p>The budget is low and the film is of B-caliber. This isn't a problem because budget isn't everything. The problem with this picture is the story. What about it? There is barely any of it. Sure, this film never reaches 90 minutes, but this nearly plot-less production ends up feeling like a marathon. There are 3 subplots going on at the same time and that's about it. They never intertwine and there is little in the way of amusement.</p><p>The zombie apocalypse backdrop is what it is. A backdrop. So there isn't much in the way of zombie carnage. With that said, the gore effects are bloody when they occur, but that doesn't mean much because the sound effects hardly compliment them.</p><p>The characters are odd, and thanks to the lack of background and explanations, stale. The same can be said about the acting. The only person that warrants some interest is Michelle Rose.</p><p>Aside from a 2 second zombie eye effect, there is nothing <i>Edges of Darkness</i> delivers that is worth recommending. Avoid this disappointment and move on to something else.</p>
