In the first story, vampire couple Stan and Stellie kidnaps a little girl for sustenance, only to find the tables turned when their captive proves that appearances can be deceptive. The nightmare continues in the second tale, a spooky yarn about a reclusive writer named Dean who installs a mysterious new word processor on his computer. Ignoring both his wife and the zombie plague in order to focus on his work, Dean quickly discovers that electricity is no longer necessary, because his computer can now be powered by the life force of others. Lastly, fierce survivalist Heather saves a mother and her son from a vicious zombie attack. Taking them back to her home to recover, Heather is horrified to learn that it's not zombies the pair fear, but a horde of renegade priests determined to destroy the boy or die trying. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Jason Horton and Blaine Cade go supernatural with Edges of Darkness and it just goes downhill from there.The budget is low and the film is of B-caliber. This isn't a problem because budget isn't everything. The problem with this picture is the story. What about it? There is barely any of it. Sure, this film never reaches 90 minutes, but this nearly plot-less production ends up feeling like a marathon. There are 3 subplots going on at the same time and that's about it. They never intertwine and there is little in the way of amusement.The zombie apocalypse backdrop is what it is. A backdrop. So there isn't much in the way of zombie carnage. With that said, the gore effects are bloody when they occur, but that doesn't mean much because the sound effects hardly compliment them.The characters are odd, and thanks to the lack of background and explanations, stale. The same can be said about the acting. The only person that warrants some interest is Michelle Rose.Aside from a 2 second zombie eye effect, there is nothing Edges of Darkness delivers that is worth recommending. Avoid this disappointment and move on to something else.
