  The ending, i will admit was my favourite part. NOT because it ended, haha. No but because while i was crying my soul out, i was also smiling and... well yea. This was totaly worth it. If you didnt like it, fine, that your personal opinion. But i thought this was a well made, and excellently written movie. The spanish with english subtitles some how made it classier. It was about spain, so why should the actors speak english? Well they didnt. It was dark, it was tragic and it was well... kind of scary, the darker side of fantasy =]

  The movie was brilliant! Yes it was in Spanish, but for those movie goers out there that don't understand Spanish, the movie was told just as well in Subtitles.
  Guillermo del Toro is a excellent director. I can't wait to see more of his work.

  I liked this movie a lot. I was in awe of the visual effects, especially the throne room at the end of the movie. I was a little bit cautious of the faun's character. I wasn't sure if he was sincerely trying to help Ofelia or if he had other agendas. The Captain's character was played with all the cruelness and volatility of a genuine madman. Overall, it was a great movie that will go into my collection.

  One of the best movies I've seen. It's a Spanish. Very creative, almost reminds you of Alice in Woderland but in a much crepier way. It is based on Steven Kings novel who's stories are always twisted and scary, but at the same time have a very good point. It's not like any other scary movie that leaves you being scared and paranoid of being alone in the dark. It makes you think about the strength and will power it takes to stand up for the right thing. The movie has amazing creativity once again, but be advised of it's graphic depiction of cruelty, which leaves a sad feeling at the end of the movie.

  this film is a bit confusing but the setting( spanish civil war) helps one understand how young Ofelia dealt with life and struggles during which they were all eagerly awiting her brother's arrival. El Capitan was very cruel for killing her.
