February 5, 2007this movie is a must see for people who are into the Grimms fairytales cuz its pretty similair. I think the special effects were amazing, far more realistic than most. and adding the tension of the spanish civil war adds to the atmosphere of this film. its done in the style of a childrens fairy tale but far more gruesome, definatly not a movie for children. The movie being in spanish with english subtitles kinda made me not want to see it but i was glad i did.

February 4, 2007No , it`s a story about the situation , post-civil war in Spain , well really we have 2 version in this film , you can choose it , the cruelty reality or the fairy ,but dark story , from the imation of Ofelia (a little young girl), who reads fairy tales books and believes in magic, just 2 point of view ...
U have to see this GREAT BEAUTYFULL FILM ART ! -

January 11, 2007This seems very interesting. I also like the characters and how closely that are resembling that of old irish, greek and I think some Indian (india) mythology. I think I will take the husband to check it out.

January 6, 2007did i miss somethink? when did this awsome movie come out. i heard nothing of it and it wasn't even shown at my local cinema. now i have to wait till March to see it, bummer. badly advertised guys!!
