Sometimes predictible but a good one movie... more than a terror film, this is a psicological thriller... By the other side, it reminds me Silent Hill's movie in one scene...
I don' t know why but laughing kids always seem to creep me out. So in the first part of the movie I had my hand over my eyes freakin out. The movie turned out not to even be a horror movie and I really liked the ending and the whole Peter Pan reference.
The most chilling, terrifying, creepy movie I have ever seen, the Orphanage plays with your emotion as if it was a toy. Not only is fear elicited during the film, though, but genuine feelings of sadness and, ultimately, relief and happiness. It is not often that a "horror" film can transcend its genre and become capable of inducing a wide variety of reactions throughout its running time, and in subtitles to boot. The Orphanage can do it all.
Very well done and genuinely scary, but doesn't introduce anything new to the genre - it's certainly not in the same class as 'The Others' or '6th sense'.
I'd wacthed the trailer and read about the storyline, but this seems nothing much different from THE OTHERS, just not really attract me, a dull one........hopefully i was wrong
an outstanding storyline... idk if this can be labeld as a horror movie... but I would say Suspence / Drama would fit nicely.. I really liked how all the clues fit right into one another & the ending was pretty sweet az well :)
I love it. It is not that scary but it shows thrill and adventure as the story goes on. It has a riveting plot and an unexpexted ending though I saw that ending in a film entitled St. Ange., but this was far more better!!!
a masterfully directed and very satisfying fairytale for adults, with some genuienly scary scenes (which is quite rare these days) the scaryest thing being what you can't actually see is what is the most scary.
i thought this was a real good movie. i thought it was scary at first because of the dvd cover. but it was intense and i got real into the movie because i wanted to know what was going to happen next.
A rather interesting movie. It was nearly as scary as I thought it would be. The story is not original for the horror genre, but it does have a very good ending (not scary).
The Orphanage was a thrilling and suspenseful film; although, I would not put this film under the horror genre. The acting was phenominal, and consistesd of great performances by the whole cast. When you hear about the initial plot, you'd think that it would be another stupid horror film, but infact, the plot stood out on its own. The ending was one that you wold say, "WOW. How did I not guess that?!", but youd still feel as though the movie was complete. The Orphanage was enjoyable for anyone.
