Mexican drug lord Rafael Caro-Quintero has been touted to be the gangster behind the killing. What makes this subpar drama with its stilted acting even less palatable is that it disclaims any relationship to real people, living or dead. In this version, when the U.S. agent (Armando Silvestre) tries to gather evidence against Caro-Quintero (Fernando Casanova) he is eventually captured, tortured, and murdered. Caro-Quintero's atrocities are shown in full, gory detail which should go a long way to consolidating fear of the man among ordinary people. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
