Elizabethtown is a film that I have always wanted to see, or thought about picking up on DVD, I have just never gotten around to it until now.
I enjoyed this movie. I am a sucker for a good love story. This movie was an honest portrait of the family and the relationships we have...( read more) -

A little contrived up until the last sequence. The final twenty minutes really made the entire movie worthwhile.

I saw this by accident when it was on TV and there was nothing else on, and I am so very very glad I did, because it has become one of my favourites. It is a very off-the-wall story, but heartwarming and really great acting from the cast makes this a really fun film.

I was pleasantly surprised with this film. It's a good character film with some good acting.
Critic Reviews
Elizabethtown never quite feels like itself, whatever that self might be; it's as if another, subtly but significantly different movie were desperately trying to break through its skin. full review
The trailer for Elizabethtown hits on every major plot point in the film and is roughly 121 minutes shorter. See that instead. full review
Wraps us up with a warmth not unlike a favorite sweater or comforter. full review
What ends up on screen is a jumbled, if good-natured, mess. full review
Elizabethtown needed a raffish, Preston Sturges-esque ensemble to offset the corn. full review
Cameron Crowe's tale of romance and redemptions struggles to sustain a tone of bittersweet whimsy, but its emotions are in the end as undercooked as its ideas.
In its trimmed version, Elizabethtown is nowhere near one of Crowe's great films (like Almost Famous), but it is sweet and good-hearted and has some real laughs. full review

July 24, 2008I liked this movie, but it should have cut out the dance scene; that would have made it better. I liked it though; I would recommend it.
Take care,

July 18, 2006What is a movie?
For some a moment to joy with a signicant other, a moment to be entertain, for not to be boring, maybe to learn, or just a homework or for a project, a moment to share. For many people just something to watch and heard.
I saw myself in this movie and made me realize what i want, and by this i made a big decision in my life. All my life i did great things but nothing really complete. What im waiting for?
I want my future now. And im going for that.
I will be forever thankful to this movie and others that made me stronger.
Because thats what movies are LIFE.
