  An interesting, surreal, erotic, somewhat strange vampire film. It sort of reminds me of Jean Rollins films, but transported to a 1990s college setting. It's not a great movie, but I liked watching it anyway.

Jordan Ladd just about steals the show from Alyssa Milano, Martin Kemp is just horrible - no way, no how did I buy him as a vampire, and Harrison Pruett has the charisma of a chunk of wood. The 90's fashions are more entertaining than the story here, and though it started off okay, by the end it had totally lost me. I would imagine the only people who would actually like this would be those looking to see Alyssa Milano topless (and there is a lot of that on show here).

  The erotic horror film Embrace of the Vampire is a shallow, insipid tale that relies mainly on its surreal visual style. Alyssa Milano leads the cast and uses it as a vehicle to change her Hollywood image...and that she does. While Milano does a fair job with the material, the rest of cast is dreadful (particularly Martin Kemp). And the script is so weak and underdeveloped, that they don't even bother to give the vampire a name. Poorly make and poorly executed, Embrace of the Vampire is a trashy and tasteless film.

  If you like vampire movies, you REALLY want to see Alyssa Milano naked, or if you want to see breasts, then my friend, this is the movie for you. The basic plot is this vampire can only live if he seduces the last virginal catholic girl in order to avoid being put to eternal sleep or something like that. It's so bad that after seeing this movie most Vampires would commit suicide. I should be commended for watching it to the finish but I must confess I wanted to see if there was going to be some magnificent twist; alas there wasn't any.

  Sexy vamp action from the mid-90's. Martin Kemp plays a vampire who needs to find the reincarnation of an old lover within three days before midnight or he dies. Enter Alyssa Milano, a pretty student with a long term boyfriend and who's still a virgin. So Kemp uses his vamp-like powers and slowly turns her into the sexiest bitch on campus. But can he convince her to become his? Embrace of the Vampire looks dated but is still sexy enough and Milano looks great. Due to its budget feel there's little in the way of gore or even full on scares but the sexy and at times eerie atmosphere pulls it along and makes it a decent enough vampire film.
