Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Susan Sarandon in this nothing-like-anyother movie.It was brilliant the way they made it a classic Disney fairytale into a modern day love story. Simply wonderful!

MCT:May 12, 2008Perhaps one of the most original story ideas to come in a long time, this is a perfect family flick; traditional fairytale conventions for the kids, and a bit of twisted dark humour for the grown-ups, ensures a little something for everyone. Unfortunately Susan Sarandon's witchy character felt rushed and in dire need of more development, not to mention screen time. Despite that, the flipping of the damsel rescuing her prince in peril in the end, rather than the other way around, was great. Score one for the ladies!

MCT:May 12, 2008enjoyable, funny, and overall love story that change in a different direction. i loved the innocent & naive Giselle, and all the crazy antics of the animated characters when they became real humans! Still i dont know if there will ever be a movie that can top Roger Rabbit but maybe we will someday.

Surprisingly good! Certain scenes (okay, most scenes) feel over-acted and campy. However, given that it IS a fairytale, it works perfectly for the storyline.

I ended my review of this movie with possibly the weirdest metaphor I have ever used in my entire life. I just... I felt like I had to point that out to someone. It's truly, sincerely bizarre.
