Okay, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I really like this movie. Besides the fact that I think Brendan Fraser is totally a babe in it, I also happen to think that Pauly Shore did a great job in his role. No, I'm not a big Pauly Shore fan, but overall it was a fun movie.
So funny! The movie is really superficial and pointless but I guess that's the point haha. The jokes are stupid but not exaggerated or over the top, which make them just right for some good laughs
Dave fell for the girl named Robyn Sweeney (Megan Ward) & he knew her when he was little. Dave Morgan (Sean Astin) & Stoney Brown (Pauly Shore) to digging in Dave's backyard to make a swimming pool to find a block of ice containing the caveman by using heaters to thaw the caveman comes to life has melted to find cave paintings on the furniture & follow the footprints to Dave's room start fire. Dave & Stoney named him Linkavitch Chomofsky (Brendan Fraser). Link & Stoney discover muddy prints on the patio door follow the footprints to the bathroom to find cavewoman in bathing. Link & cavewoman are reunited.
Encino man? Here its called California man. I definately enjoyed it as a kid/teen, watched a couple of years ago, and the novelty had worn off.
rolig som f*n.. xP
Brendan Fraser är lika kul varje gång känns det som.,
Filmen har såklart sina brister men det gör ingenting då det är så grymt rolig att kolla på.. xP
wow an original story. fantastic.
This movie is set in the uhh hippie days (60's i would imagine) and everything is pretty much spot on.
2 boys unearth a caveman frozen in time and proceed to teach him their culture and integrate him into school life.
What follows is a hilarious interpretation of the world according to a cave-man.
Brendan Fraiser is a superb actor and really makes this movie work. His funny antics along with 'Stoney' really do steal the show
This is a 90's Classic! Loved this movie!
"Weezin the juice! the joice!"
"No Weezing of the jui-uice!"
Perfect actors for the story... Pauly Shore, Brendan Fraser, and Sean Astin are totally AWESOME!!!!!!!
This could have been way better if the directing wasn't so sloppy and if it didn't have the always annoying / always untalented Pauly Shore in it. It's fairly okay anyway though in all its mindless, yet somewhat amusing 90's glory.
Dammit I skipped this the first time, as its known as "California Man" here in the UK.
Its pretty amusing, and one of the less annoying Pauly Shore movies.
It certainly had its moments of mindless entertainment, but mainly it was just stupidly absurd. And Pauly Shore was beyond irritating. If it had been all Fraser and Astin, and maybe half as long, I think it would have had just enough substance. The plot did remind me a lot of Bubba from Duck Tales though.
Wow, this was back in the day when Pauly Shore had more pull than Brendan Fraser. This is an entertaining movie that first introduces Brenden Fraser to the much loved fish-out-of-water genre.
This is one of my all-time favorite movies. No matter how many times I see it, (which is probably a couple hundred times) I never get tired of it. Hey, Brendan Fraser running around in a butt-flap (as he calls it in George of The Jungle) is alright by me. lol
the weasel strikes again in this awful excuse for a movie. Pauly Shore and Brendan Fraser...bad combo!
This movie is so great, both for its 80's nostalgia and surprisingly witty humor. It also pleases the fans of slapstick comedy, and is clean enough for most kids. This is a great example of what comedies used to be, before the advent of over sexualized humor and perverted scriptwriters. Definitely a must-see for anyone looking to have a good time.
"If you're edged 'cause I'm weazin all your grindage, just chill. 'Cause if I had the whole brady bunch thing happenin' at my pad, I'd go grind over there, so dont tax my gig so hard-core cruster."
CLASSIC! THIS MOVIE CRACKS ME UP EVERY RIME BUUUDDDYYY!Flixster - Share Movies
Absolutely ridiculous, unrealistic, corny and absurd. Also very very funny. You really have to be in the right mood to watch it. Pauly Shore was pretty much amazing.
This is a so, so wouldn't watch if i was bored kind of movies. It had some funny parts , but overall it lack in rawness.
MY FIRST PAULY SHORE MOVIE THAT MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM....
HE WAS MINE AFTER THIS AND THAN...5 YRS. LATER I MET HIM.
YAY!!!!!!!
This was a fun movie but nothing terribly special. I don't understand why Flixster tags it as being science fiction, although I suppose it does have some of those elements. Brendan Fraser did get to demonstrate skills that would help him bag roles like George of the Jungle, haha.
"The cheese is old and moldy". Even aftera ll these years that line sticks in my head. I got to meet Shawn Schepps, one of the writers of this movie. She's hilarious so I can see where the humor came from.
