A great, great movie. Like the very best of Science Fiction, it's simply a metaphor for life in general. Do yourself a favor and watch this.

I remember it being a little more "BattleStar Galactica", but when I rewatched it I realized how much Petersen was trynig to portray interspecies releationships... got weird, but still had its fun moments. Quaid holds his own and mirrors a hesitant sky commander

A fine story of an earthling and a lizard-like creature who used to be enemies must work as a team to survive a hostile planet. Later on, their team work turns into a friendship between a man and a creature. A great movie for the whole family.

Despite the painfully-obvious fact that the sets are on a soundstage, it's a fun watch.
