I was expecting this to be terrible, but it was worse than I could've imagined. The characters and plot are empty and adhere to a generic formula for are fantasy series. Everything's been done before, and better.
This movie is unfortunately too obviously influenced by the release of the Lord Of the Rings trilogy. And by a story that could have been ten times better if handled properly. The end REALLY sucks, because there will be no sequel.
It sucked! Sucked, sucked, sucked! Terrible compared to the book! It skipped entire chapters! I was like what the hell is going on here??
Did the director even read the book or did he go off of cliff notes? Wait, correction, that would be insulting cliff notes. I'm pretty sure cliff notes remembered to indicate that Arya was an elf and it takes a dragon longer to grow than to fly through a cloud.
I liked it!! i would have loved for them to have mad another movie!! the books are great!

Really great movie! Plus Garrett is hot as always! lol It's completely horrible if you compare to the book. but if you push the book from your mind it's really great! but there is no way they'll be able to make Eldest becasue SOOO much was LEFT OUT! GRRR!
This is a good movie...I mean just because I'm paying more attention to the hottie hot hottie guy Murtagh doesn't mean i don't like the movie...but seriously the guy is HOT!

you have to read the book, the movie was a one star, if you compared it to the book...But otherwise it was a really good movie.

I gave it 3.5 stars because of Jeremy Irons. He rocks. Everything else sucks like Paolini's writing. It's a blatant ripoff of Star Wars, Eddings, and a lot more. There's a freaking Ewok village. But Jeremy Irons will make you cry and Rachel Weisz gives Sapphira just the righ...( read more)
