I grew up with Ernest and love a lot of the movies, but this one I couldn't get behind. I turned it off after he visits the restaurant. That waitress was uber wench and the she-male who totaled her car and somehow got Ernest fired was beyond tolerable. Sad this was one of the l...( read more)ast films to have Varney in the Ernest garb.

I loved Ernest as A child and I still enjoy him as an adult. Ernest was the big family movie franchise of the early 90's. They are always funny and ernest is so loveable. This movie was the second to last of the 10 Ernest movies produced, and by far one of the most serious. I mea...( read more)n some of the things that happen is not for the kiddies, like a rhino kicking off two men's heads. (shudder) kinda creepy for what I was expecting.
Don't get me wrong though, Ernest is still just as lovable then ever. He still brings that lovable redneck charm with him and is still the ernest we all know and love. However, the last two Ernest movies were NOT released by touchtone the company who owned them prior to these and therefor, it kinda fell in quality and effects. Compared to the other Ernest movies, this one was just an attempt to revive a sucessful series. It wasn't done quite as well as it should have been however, seeing how dark it is compared to other Ernest movies.
I recommend this for anyone who enjoys Ernest or somebody who has free time and just wants a cheap laugh.

With this flim It would have better ratings if they bothered to put the close captions or subtitles on the movie like the rest of Ernest movies.
