Don't bother watching unless you are a Yooper or have a deep desire to understand how Yoopers think. But if you do fall into one of those categories, you will love this movie.

MCT:September 7, 2007ok didn't watch whole movie and I am sure I will sometime but I will give it 2*s for the one particular scene I was shown...yes it was bad but omg I have to admit it was stinkin (pun pun pun) funny!

Worst movie I have ever seen. I was all excited when I seen the cover and Jeff Daniels was on it(holding a gun with a buck behind him). I thought it would be a hillarious hunting film, only to find out that it SUCKED!

MCT:August 8, 2007Worst movie ever made. Why? Because I am from Escanaba. At best, this movie is a bad generalization that most locals thought was dumb because the story had little to do with anything that actually happens here. I didn't know it was a common yooper trait to see UFO's until this film. At worst, it is a film that is so idiotic it knows no bounds on what to mock. The movie even slams native americans with a ridiculous mock tribal dance. The film can claim stupidity as a defense, but since the movie attacks this with a blind rage and no actual reason, I call it racism. The film is funny to outsiders because that is where the perspective comes from. I don't give a shit that Daniels fucks a woman from my city in wedlock. He takes general assumptions and goes overboard. This is a film for people to laugh at, not with.
