Muito bom! Com um tema e um roteiro muito interessantes, o filme prende a atenção. Muito apropriada a escolha do nome do filme.

Movies about food are quite popular. Movies about food that are not exactly tasteful and with a Fellini ?flavor? are very unusual. Estômago is a black comedy with references from the Italian cinema, specially from Fellini (the soundtrack sounds like Nights of Cabiria´s), but wit...( read more)h strong and hot colors to give a Brazilian taste. Food as a metaphor for sensuality. Food as a way to get power. The rise and downfall of a simple man that discover his talent in cooking. Highly recommended.

I wasn't that willing to see this film. But once it started, I had this warm feeling that you get when you're watching a good movie. You never get to know the characters completely, but you do want to know them. You feel sorry for them, you feel happy for them. The settings are v...( read more)ery well drawn, very descriptive. You can almost smell and taste what you're seeing. Only bad thing, it's a bit too easy to predict (since you know from the beginning what happens to the main character) and just one doubt (do not keep reading if you want to see this film), why does Nonato have poison, how did he get that?
    Good work overall. Worth watching.

A robust celebration of food and the female posterior, Estomago is a movie filled to the brim with passion. The film?s good-natured humor turns darkly comic as the story moves along, and Joao Miguel as the lead, Nonato, has just the right amount of crooked grin charm to immerse ...( read more)you in his story completely. Fabiula Nascimento is the sexiest woman I?ve seen in a film in ages?a food-obssessed amazon built like a brick house. She?s just one more thing to delight the senses in Estomago, alongside the dishes of steaming, delicious food on display here.

Ótimo roteiro, atuações à altura. Um filme brasileiro sem levantar a bandeira.
