This movie, I had to watch it twice, because the subtitile and then watch the scene. I'm not complaining. I do love movie with subtitles. Having the orginial language is best. Than, dubbed. I say.

subtitled) Beautifully shot in an intimate 90?s up-close sort of warmth, it?s non-threatening and accommodating; the film invades the complicated emotional 3 way between Carrie, Shane & Jonathan, whose performances are confident and assured.. and an attractive threesome they are....( read more) A big bonus is the standard of subtitling? sharp, effective and clever, for a change; but keep on your toes, ?cos they?re fast. It has a delicacy of touch and narrative that is sadly lacking in a lot of gay-themed movies where the bar is set so low, yet praised so highly. ( Maybe I was just in the right mood, I don?t think so, it?s better than that). A hauntingly economic soundtrack? I?m a sucker for a manipulative tooooon, piano on tilt and melodic violin? Yum! The central torment for Jonathan & Shane climaxes and Shane must confront his real feelings ? torn by insecurity and guilt (perhaps), and poor Carrie caught in the glare of the headlights. The final beach scene resolves an exhausting emotional whirlpool.. and I added a few tears of my own . Showbiz Jon x

A beautiful emotional love story from Taiwan, two lifelong best friends have unspoken and hidden love for each other, not expressed and revealed until a girl comes into their lives to hinder the relationship! Well directed! Highly recommended!

OMG! i'm just researching for things about the film Eternal Summer, things i didn't know before and things that i might stumble to know about the movie. And then I came across your blogs, reviews of other people, read comments about the film, and ahhh, i never thought there's others like me who felt that same feeling about the film,,. i felt that inner emotional depth after finishing this film, wishing that i too, someday or maybe never, will have a shane in my life,. but the first day of viewing didn't cause my tears to break out. then the next day, i repeated watching it and, oh boy, it caught me,, it nailed me so hard, i kept thinking and thinking over and over again about this film,, i cried my heart out, it's been a day since, but i still felt like crying when i remember shane and jonathan.. i thad that damn feeling,, this really affect me so much, i can't even concentrate on my work... up until now,, i don't know when can this subside,,.. i really like to tell this,, i don't know, maybe a way to let go of the feeling (damn, this really is killing me...) just want to let you know guys, the movie's one hell of a movie, definitely recommended, (yeah, i know, i was kinda not so up-to-date) but... Eternal Summer is one of the most stunning, most gorgeous, superb LGBT movie i have ever seen,.. One critic said, and I quote, "Eternal Summer is an absolute must-see. It stirs up an angst you might not have felt since your high school days, but also a great warmth. Emerging from this kind of emotional depth takes a while, a few hours, perhaps a day; and that is the sign of a truly great movie."
