  Bizarre hardly begins to describe this peculiar offering. Tamura is a divorced company employee about to embark on a new venture with his company. Suddenly is sweetheart is found murdered and he's the prime suspect. Did I mention that Tamura is a koala? No? Oh! The fact that he is a koala doesn't seem to have any bearing on the plot at all. It's more of a strange distraction from the films inability to focus. By the time it gets to amnesia, implanted memories, and a shady past, it is all a bit too much. Certainly enjoyable at times, but when switching from dreamlike martial art sequences and axe murder, you can't really fathom what it's aiming to do.

  Very silly B-style B movie about a possibly murderous, amnesiac and yes, koala-ey executive. If the title makes you say, "yes, I think I need to see that", then you probably do <img src="http://thepinksmoke.com/images/executive_koala.jpg">

  Look into the mind of a Koala! A good film with a fun story about a salaryman Koala who is successful in everything... except outrunning his guilty conscience. Though the film is silly, I like how it is essentially about forgiving past transgressions. Different Asian countries have long held grudges against one another for past sins (though I'm as white as Ivory Soap, I have heard Asians worry about other Asians possibly hating them for their ancestor's war crimes, attitudes, etc). Having the Japanese Koala's nemesis being Korean was an intelligent way of pointing out these unfortunate feelings and giving the Koala a guilty conscience for things he possibly never did himself was a stroke of genius. Still, without reading into it, it's still a fun film that is certain to entertain fans of the bizarre.
