Mathias (Brad Dourif) covets the necklace given to Sarah (Hallee Hirsh) by her uncle (Thomas Ian Nicholas). But Jacob (Jordan Matthews) is determined to protect Sarah. As the young pair is beset by demons, Sarah uncovers a secret that causes her to reconsider her animosity toward her sister (Mackenzie Rosman) and their mother (Elaine Hendrix). Later, as the demons close in on Jacob and Sarah, the young hero realizes he must return to the place where his life was destroyed in order to defeat Mathias once and for all. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Critic Reviews
-
Ronnie Scheib, Variety
A lumpy melange of supernatural ingredients and distinct genre elements that never cohere.
-
Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times
What are meant to be dazzling, otherworldly images are in fact spit-take ridiculous.
-
Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times
"How are we going to get out of here?" Sarah squawks at one point, a question that Mr. Dourif ought to have asked his agent long before the cameras began to roll.
-
Andrew Schenker, Village Voice
This convoluted mess sets new lows in underimagined, overplotted narrative.
-
Brent Simon, Shockya.com
A hobbled sci-fi thriller that doesn't have the money to compete with genre big boys, but also lacks an imagination in presentation or execution that might enable it to escape the downward pull of its limitations.
