Plot: Final Fantasy X is set on the watery world of Spira. Once a technologically-advanced utopia, Spira's civilization was suddenly destroyed by an enormous force of nature known as Sin. (While Sin is repr...( read more read more... )esented as a ball of fire in the FF X logo, it is not actually a corporeal being.) One thousand years later, humanity has adopted the Ebon religion and lives in fear of technology, never knowing where Sin will strike next. Players step into the shoes of Tidus a cheerful sword-slinging youth and a star player at the underwater sport of blitzball. But while Tidus is the dominant main character, the actual star of the story seems to be his staff-wielding counterpart, Yuna. The daughter of the famous summoner Braska and a summoner herself, Yuna has been haunted by strange dreams as of late. Believing Sin to be the cause, she swears to defeat it, and perhaps emerge from her parents' shadow in the process. Yuna's plan is to journey to each Ebon temple and acquire its resident Aeon; only once she has gathered them all can she hope to defeat Sin. Tidus is one of Yuna's bodyguard and traveling companion on this mission.

I have 1000 hrs. logged on this baby, but it isn't quite the best one out there. Sphere Grid, battles, side-quests(including Blitzball), and story were monumental. The fact that the International version had the dark aeons and the 'Ribbon' ability is a serious fault. The The videos shown through out were possibly one of the greatest assets.

What can I say about Final Fantasy X? I guess it is the most cinematic of them all, because it has a linear storyline, different then the others. I guess I've spent about 300 hours of my life in it. Yeah, and you know, I enjoyed every little second of it.

What a compelling story FFX was. Might be my fav FF game. The graphics are top notch even for its age and just watching it is enough for me.

Final Fantasy VII is still the best Final Fantasy ever. No wonder SQUARE ENIX still make games and films based on its settings, like 'Crisis Core' and 'Advent Children.' But FFX is still a very good game. I just don't know what games have to do with flixster...

This game restored my faith in the Final Fantasy series. FFIX was so bad, so it was wonderful to see the game makers still had it in them to make a masterpiece. Not as good as FFVII, but it's up there.

My next favorite in the Final Fantasy series, the cinematics of the game was drool worthy! Especially that Seymour Guado character I love!

The first Final Fantasy game I ever played - and the best... even though I'm still confused about being able to review a video game on a movie site. But I'm not complaining. Auron is my hero - my favorite FF character - and the source of many many many uber-quotable enigmatic lines. "This is it. This is your story. It all begins here." This game has an AMAZING story with crazy and completely unpredicable twists and turns - even though there are plenty of clues along the way. This was a glorious waste of a summer that I would do all over again, given the chance. It's never the same after the first time though... things never are. I do have a few minor quibbles with this game - but these are highly subjective - I hate Seymour's and Yuna's voices - one sounds like he's speaking in the middle of a helium balloon... the other one sounds like she's been blowing up balloons for too long - annoyingly gaspy and wishy-washy. And Rikku is just plain annoying as always - though not as bad as in FFX-2. But Auron, Lulu, and Tidus are awesome... I love those guys. And the FMVs... are to die for. Especially Suteki Da Ne - soooo pretty! And the ending is soooooo sad! I cried! I don't cry during movies or anything, and I cried! "You cried." Lol. This is an absolutely amazing RPG that everyone who knows anything about RPGs should play - hopeless romantics or not. Absolutely not to be missed.

A fan of Final Fantasy, this is the first with voices. FMV graphics dazzle and music, once again, is the best.

This game is awesome! Tidus (the main character) is a little whiney but Auron makes up for it! He rocks and the other characters are awesomel too!

Why is Final Fantasy X and X-2 here? They're both games not movies the only Final Fantasy game that's become both a movie (Final Fantasy Advent Children) and an anime type movie (Final Fantasy Last Order) is Final Fantasy VII.
