I?m not sure I like De Niro so much in romantic roles, he was still pretty good in this and so was Meryl Streep, but I just prefer his other tougher roles, I guess he did too, otherwise he would have made more. Maybe the romance was not tragic enough for my liking.
Still, a good watch, but not high up on the De Niro/Streep leader board of films. -
MCT:August 15, 2008Despite the fact that De Niro and Streep were simply amazing, the movie wasn't much. The story is overheard, and since you know everything before it happens, it gets pretty boring.

Meryl streep & Robert De Niro look so young & cute in this movie ,nice movie ,although the idea of the mvie is repeated so many times..But it was Ok ...not bad for an 80's movie !

It's was decent. However when I think romantic lead... you know DeNiro just pops right to mind. Especially if he's coupled with Meryl Streep.

cute but slow romantic movie. a beautiful paring of actors and the script did a nice take on affairs.

that was the first movie i saw when i first came in ny 25yrs ago. It was great , it was interesthing, when someone really fall in love with you, its look like you the heaven.
