The Ex had it moments. It was a cute film, I will give it that. This film could have been magnificent, with it's cast. But, it fell short of that into the luke warm territory.
I am a fan of Zach Braff, I really like Scrubs. So, I guess I was expecting a little more from him...( read more) in this one. I did think that him and Amanda Peet meshed well and had good chemistry as a couple. That helps. Jason Bateman saved this film, in my opinion. He pulled it from crap, to tolerable. But, I even expected more from his character in this, he can be a shinning comic star, when he wants to be.
The Ex is better then getting a bikini wax.

Occasional funny parts, but to be truthful, most moments of laughter were included in the trailer and that had made it look a much funnier film than it actually was. There were some really odd parts and it most definitely had it?s fair share of cringeworthy parts too. Come on Z...( read more)ach Braff, we know you can be funnier than this!!!!

Fun little comedy with some genuine laughs and a very watchable cast. Sadly Braff has done much better work and is forced to resort to pratfalls a little too often. The nicest surprise here was to see Charles Grodin back on screen. Very user friendly and worthwhile, if only to se...( read more)e Zach Braff throw a crippled Jason Bateman down a flight of stairs. Nice harmless, lighthearted fun, but that's about it. Look for the lovely Amy Adams as a very weird, new age mother.

Caught the last half of this on the comedy channel last night. I basically watched it because I like Amanda Peet. They tried to be really funny and weren't.
