August 20, 2006Forgettable and unfunny adaptation of the Saturday morning cartoon. I for one have never seen the cartoon, and this movie certainly does not entice me to do so. It is obvious from the start that a movie about animated characters coming into the "real" world demands suspension of disbelief, but when disputes in the "real" world are settled by the means of a quick race said movie has abused the SOD granted to it waaayy too much. Overall the film feels more like a live-action, feature-length commercial for the cartoon DVD's. Perhaps you might want to proceed directly to said DVD's instead.
