Very interesting portrait of the Flaming Lips, delving into Wayne Coyne's unique background and Steven Drozd's battles with substance abuse.

If you like the Flaming Lips in any way, shape or form, this is well worth watching. The heroin bit is a bit horrible though...

Wonderful. This isn't so much a document of a band as it is a very personal tribute to Oklahoma's musical children. And it never gets more personal than when Steven is injecting heroin while lamenting over his drug problems and their effect on the band. Utterly hopeless. It's disturbing, emotional, and entirely personal.

Subtract one star though for this film doesn't waste time with introductions. It assumes that you're already a member of the Lips family. For the uninitiated, this may prove tedious. For die-hard fans though, this film is a must. A very complete document, over 10 years in the making, of one of America's finest musical outfits.

Funny, heartbreaking and strange. Just like the Flaming Lips music. An amazing watch. It's not just for fans but beware if you watch you will end up buying all their records.

See this even if you don't know much about The Flaming Lips. We could all learn a thing or two about the art of performance.
