The camera just shakes around like a mofo whenever any action is happening, so you never really even get to see the creatures or tell what's going on. I saw what they were trying to do here, it just... was stupid.
This film is so damn aggressive and hilarious!!! Tons of gore can be found throughout the film, as well as some crude and sexual humor. It is craps like these that make my day happy and let me rest from watching so many classic and foreign cinema. This rocks!
Fun horror fare. It never takes itself seriously, from the cheesy character intros, to the mostly over the top acting, to the crazy monsters. Tongue in cheek, thrill a minute, lots of fun.
This was pretty fucking awesome. A lot of people compared it to Slither when it came out but I don't really see the similarity. Other than both films being comedy-horror. The way I see it though, is that Slither is a comedy with scary shit. Feast was a horror film with funny shit. I prefer Slither if I have to compare the two but Feast was great anyway.
I guess the greatest thing in this one is how they turn most of the conventions on their heads, all the while delivering some decent scares and some hilarious dialog and scenarios.
This movie was all right - decent creatures and all right horror "plot" - but it treated the audience like morons by throwing stats up on the screen trying to be cute. We get it - it's a typical movie with the "hero types" and whatever - we don't need you to tell us - we aren't stupid.
The film is the result of the TV show Project Green Light, but don't let that thwart you. At the least, it's got cult classic written all over it: --campy, smart writing --quirky characters that are developed enough to give them dimension without plummeting the depths of their personalities --a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously --outrageously funny, totally scared the crap out of me numerous times --a plot that defies predictability, but doesn't collapse as a result of it. Arriving at an isolated bar, Bozo, (Balthazar Getty) and his friend Hot Legs, (Josh Zuckerman) quickly rub the other patrons, Boss Man, (Duane Whitaker) Tuffy, (Krista Allen) Honey Pie, (Jenny Wade) and the Bartender, (Clu Gulager) the wrong way. When a young couple, (Eric Dane) and his wife, (Navi Rawat) burst into the bar bandying tales about a ravenous group of creatures heading their way, they quickly laugh them off only for the creatures to launch a massive attack and successfully kill off several bar-members. Trapped inside and with no idea how to get free, they try to decide on a course of action only for the attacks to get more severe with every attempt tried. With their numbers dwindling and daylight approaching, the group decides on a desperate course of action to get away from the bar and the creatures.
Feast" does not have story, but it is gruesome, gore, trash and funny. There are no explanations about the origin of the monsters, but disgusting and nasty special effects in the fast-paced and ridiculous attacks of the creatures that does not give time for thinking how silly the story is. The conclusion is a great joke.
Easily one of the weirdest Horror films I've seen, but still good fun to watch. Camera work was dodgy, and the comedy thrown in was a bit weird, but overall a good film.
Great movie in the vein of from dusk till dawn. It's gore gore and more gore with a great sense of humour.
A must if you like your horror dumb and fun.
oh my god how much did i love this film.
I loved the way it starts bits in between and the end.
it has every thing a film needs blood gore blood gore scary monsters scary monster penis and scary monster sex i cannot say one bad thing about this film the blood and gore starts 13 mins in and keeps going lots of black humour.
the cast even cant say a negitive thing about evry one played there part brillantily.
you must see this film well if you like this sort of film
While the implementation was often flawed, the movie had a surprising amount of original ideas. Prob. rating it a bit too high as a result of being impressed by that, but oh well.
In a remote bar, costumers are advised by a newcomer to seal the place since hunger monsters will attack them in a couple of minutes. The man is immediately devoured and the clients organize a strategy to defend the place under siege of deadly creatures.
This gory b-movie-esque snoozer only had one redeming moment, the final battle with the creatures. That was wicked and nicely gory. The rest was ho hum. I can't believe they are making 2 sequels to it.
Pretty cool twist on the Slasher-Horror genre explaing each character role, apart from that everything was standard but enough people didn't die, but I guess thats what the sequel's for.
Pretty good movie. It was along the same lines as 'Slither' with its twisted horror comedy.
It was pretty graphic with high amounts of blood, vomit, and sex. But it was extremely funny in a messed up sort of way. Like the hero dies 5 minutes into the movie. Also you get to see quite a few famous people die including Jay from Jay and Silent Bob.
I didn't expect anything going into this movie, however...I was pleased. I like simple monster stories that you don't have to think too hard about. It gets right down to it, fixates the story in one location, gives us a slew of amusing characters, and lots of monsters. It's a fun monster flick in the light of "Tremors". These things are more nasty and violent though and make for a good flick. My only complaint is that they are hard to see and I never really got an idea as to what these things really look like. Movies today need to hold on shots rather than tease me with all this stupid fancy editing.
