Are the customs of a rich family like those of a primitive South American band of natives? That is the premise of this movie. There are those in the rich family who stop at nothing to protect their interests. The movie is better than most these days.

This movie is absolutely amazing! Diane Lane, a fav of mine, and Donald Sutherland, both excellent. But the acting of Anton Yelchin is suberb! Great story of the rick upper class and how they can get away with whatever they want. I highly recommend this movie!

OMG was awsome! I LOVE Kristen Stewart! Man, at the end he said he finally met his dad, but he never said what happened between him and Maya. *sighs* They were cute together, so I imagine them together....

starts off as a light hearted coming of age movie, but half way through it takes a dark twist and turns into a more serious drama.it is a good film but the two halves of the film are too extreme.donald sutherland and anton yelchins performances stand out from the rest.

An intriguing movie! Great story plot about the hardship a mother and her son, endures, and struggles with. Great cast of actors, especially with young Anton Yelchin. Phenomenal. Although Chris Evans's character is a little on the creepy side. Nonetheless, a great movie and worth watching every now and then.

This movie was very upsetting. I don't do well with movies that involve rape and I especially didn't like this one. This story about a kid with a drug addict for a mother gets thrown into a situation that is not his own doind and he is just trying to get along with his circumstances when very bad things happen to him. The ending was very good because the bad guy got what was coming to him and Yelchin's character fought through all the bad stuff, found a few real friends, and his mother got clean.

I love this cast. Great story and characters. I wish the romance would have been a bit more solid towards the end.

Fierce People's dissection of the parallels between South American tribes and the American elite is outrageously less relevant than it promised to be. Even worse, an act of ritualized violence that occurs halfway through the movie trades what might have been an interesting point of view for a bleak sentimental claptrap. What results is a collection of hit-or-miss scenes, that said many of which impress by their remarkable panache and witty dialogue. A host of talented performers, in particular Sutherland, render this lukewarm exercise in behavioral study tolerable, but the overall impression leaves much to be desired.

Not sure I'd want to leave the comforts of home to wander around the Amazon staving off death from piranahs, giant-assed snakes and savage tribes who think I'd look tasty on a keiser roll.

I really loved this movie. Esp. Donald Sutherland is awesome. That young man from House of D is going to be a great actor too. Diane Lane is always my favorite.

Good movie. I thought it was going to be funny, and somewhat teenage movie, but it is more than that. Great movie, great acting.

Somebody lent this to me, and I had no idea what it was going to be about. Very richly told, in a very unexpected style. Fabulous soundtrack. Totally took me by surprise - watch it.

It was good. The comparison of the squatters of a rich guy's exorbitant estate to a brutal, warring South American tribe was fresh, and made for good segues.

sounds like yet another modern retelling of Heart of Darkness. Why must "native peoples" always suffer being Hollywood's moving scenery and not the "real" characters of the story?

Story sparks me up, could ultimately be worth watching. The cast is very impressive, will look out for this at the cinema. I like Chris Evans and Diane Lane rising stars, will immerse myself.

Another one that looks really good...like a brutal version of Cruel Intentions. Stars Donald Sutherland, Diane Lane, Elizabeth Perkins and that girl from The Messengers...Kristen Stewart. You'll need to go to IMDB to see the trailer.

This one opens September 7th, also.
