Do not let the Final Fantasy title fool you. This anime made me want to puke. It has all the cliches, of a typical "Pokemon" episode with lame characters and even more pathetic dialog. Just when you think it couldn't get any worse it does. Don't waste your time with this one.
Good enough for the hardcore fans but won't have enough meat in it for the passing fan. This is a solid rent though for those that have the time and the access.
seen epasode 1-4 but many more epesodes in this aneme series 36 I think. Proving that Flixter has TV programs, as this was made for tv. pity though its not shown on brittish tv, so have to pay for the searies on dvd.
Terrible and cheaply animated series, and embarassingly badly written and directed. The kickass last episode where they spend all the money they planned on using on season 2, does not make up for all the preceeding pain.
it was really good. the two little kids were drwan weird but other then that every one else was ok. kazai rocks and so does white cloud. '' soil is my power' lol. love that bit.
Awesome anime! It was very cool a different take on the final fantasy series with new characters and a different world based off the game. It was fun to watch. ^_^ white cloud is my favorite character. ((The only person with white hair))
I havnt seen all of the series yet but of the good portion of what i have seen it lives upto the fantastical nature of the game series...the only problem is the character's. They lack depth and the one who doesnt (Kaze) just doesnt seem to developed enough or given enough lines. The action is ok but often resorts to kaze repeating the same process of summoning a creature using his arm. All because none of the other character's are unable to defend themselves effectively. I like the main villian as its rare to see children in film's as cruel and cold as he is. Overall it has some interesting imaginative ideas and executes them well but just really lacks on the characters personalities (eventhough the actual design is great). I recommend this as a nice kids TV series as what it does do it does well.
This series, which I got in a slimpak box set, isn't too bad. However, the most disappointing aspect of this anime, was the ending. It could have been so much better than what it was.
Doesn't really have a very Final Fantasy feel to it for me. Like Spirits Within it wasn't bad, just a little disappointing being a Final Fantasy title.
Final Fantasy is almost always awesome. Even the Spirits Withen was awesome in it's own right, although it had nothing to do whatever with Final Fantasy
this is a good seris, good storyline great charaters!, the only problem i have with it is some of the animation leaves a lot to be desiered but toher wise its great!
I enjoyed the series, not the best anime I have seen, but worth watching. Although I was not satisfied with the ending which was vague and not much of an ending at all. It was more like the ending to a first season not the ending to a series.
A lot of people didn't like this series, but I thought it was a cute and entertaining Final Fantasy-themed adventure. It's a little cheesy, it's got a disappointing ending, and it can't hold a candle to the games, but it's still worth seeing.
This anime is quite good. If you are super hung up on it having to be EXACTLY like the games, then go fuck off. You will have the same problems with this as with The Spirits Within, just less so. It was a good anime, but it ended too soon and the ending was lame.
translation was TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! ... SOIL MY STRENGTH! .... it makes sense in some places but in others it's like it's suposed to be soul... i dunoo crappy translaters... grrr
