March 19, 2009Gentle movie about a 16 yr. old with writing chops. He befriends a reclusive Pulitzer winner and is accepted to a private school. He also plays basketball. Not especially great, but worth at least one watching. I've seen it several times.

February 13, 2009Appreciated the way they both pushed each other to seek for their dreams. There is nothing spectacular but real life. Acting should not be more realistic, the guy is just a Bronx young and the older, a lonely person with a hard character.

January 23, 2009Pretty rubbish drama about a reclusive novelist and the relationship he forms with a 16-year-old basketball player. It's like these films just think up the two most opposite characters and throw them together in a film to be 'original', but it's ends up sappy and stupid. This one...( read more)
