Although Jimmy should be happy when his boss suddenly agrees to financially back his business venture, he starts to become paranoid instead. this was an intense film. everytime i see piper perablo on screen i like her more, and guy pearce is going to be a great actor for a considerable period of time. this film was creative and different, but ultimately the story wasnt intriguing enough to make it worth while. i en...( read more)joyed it, but it was fairly bland and didnt offer much more than a little entertainment value.

It's engaging enough, but it never hits any real payoff.

Written by screenwriters of famed "Children of Men", this overlooked psychological drama could've been a great one, if only its strong story didn't end with quick, dissapointing resolution, turning it into banal tale of inevitability of fate. As if we all should believe that what...( read more) fortune tellers t(s)ell us goes without any dispute, our hands are tight and we have nothing left to do except to accept it. So in the end, as Jimmy gets straight answer, we get it, too and there's nothing left for us here. Bearing some resemblance with Michael Haneke's masterful "Hidden" carefully plotted Jimmy's increasing paranoia, played flawlessly by Pearce is another example of a script which offered plenty, and delivered much less. One should never underestimate audience's intelligence and imagination. Especially when he appears to respects them, only changing his mind one minute before the credits. It's almost an insult.

A slept on flick. Guy Pearce is a beast.

Entertaining, but nothing exceptional. Love that J.K. Simmons.

Another mystical, strange movie. Guy Pearce is starting to become recognizable to me - he's been in many movies I've seen. Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly) is also in this.

Unsatisfying. Seemed like it might have been recut at some point. Suffered drastic changes in theme and story. I was expecting the end to be a big payoff and it was really nothing new.
