This is one of my favourite kung fu films of all time. Woo Ping + Jet Li = quality and this is his best. The fight scenes are superb. I didn't think Iron monkey could be beaten until I watched this. The end fight is my favourite fight of all time and I've seen a few! I can't reco...( read more)mmend this film enough. The film is a remake of the Bruce Lee film Fist of Fury which is a classic itself. This takes it to a new level though. There is a bit of poor acting in parts as you would expect in a 90's kung fu flic but the action more than makes up for it. The music also stays with you and builds the fights up really well. If your a kung fu fan and haven't seen this film I suggest you get hold of it.

Jet Li is nothing short of amazing in this fast paced, action packed remake of Bruce Lee's 'Fist of Fury'. I've seen a bunch of martial arts movies in my time, but Jet Li's stunningly kinetic fight scenes are truly something to behold. Yeah the story has been seen before and it's...( read more) really nothing special, but the action coreography more than compensates for some typically silly dialogue. Undoubtably it's Jet doing what he does best and every martial arts fan should see this at least once. Astounding and the Dragon Dynasty DVD really does it justice.

Fist of Legend is a loose remake of one of Bruce Lee's most popular Chinese films, Fist of Fury (a.k.a. The Chinese Connection). The plot is basically the same, but some details differ greatly. Fist of Fury had a simple moral: The Japanese are bad. Set during a time when the Ch...( read more)inese were second class citizens in their own country, Bruce Lee's acts of defiance against the Japanese authorities were big crowd pleasers.

Jet Li's version of the story is a different take on the material. The only evil Japanese character in the whole film is Fujita, and Chen Zhen is a victim of discrimination, not from the Japanese, but from the Chinese of Shanghai because he has a Japanese girlfriend. Murder, intrigue, deception and most importantly, some of my most favorite fight sequences in all of the kung-fu movies I've seen. Each fight in the film gets better and better.

One of in not ,the greatest Martial Arts movies ever made! An excellent remake of Bruce Lee's " Fist of Fury".
Jet Li stars as Chen Zhen, I chinese student of the Jing Wu family of Kung Fu who goes to a Japanese University to further his education. There he faces alot of rac...( read more)ism because of his nationality. He then returns half way through his semester when he hears about the killing of his Master back in China. Upon his return he realizes that his master was poisoned and killed by the Japanese thus fueling the tension between the Chinese and the Japanese even more. He then sets out to bring his Master's killer to justice by any means necessary, even if he has to take on the entire Japanese government and army by himself.
What makes this film so special is that there is an actual storyline that really captivates the audience. It touches on realistic issues like family values and bonding, the struggles and sacrifices one has to make for love, the loyalty of patriotism and how racial tensions exist in all cultures and in every part of the world.I actually like Fist of Legend better then Fist of Fury because of the fighting scenes. People still to this day still argue that there were trick wires used in the fighting scenes, and the reality is there never were any used, a testament to the physical strength and beautiful choreography of these skilled actors and Martial Artists like Jet Li, Yasuaki Kurata and China's version of Johnny Depp and real life kung-fu badass Chin Siu-ho. This is my favorite Jet Li movie and in my opinion, his best performace ever !

    The uncut subbed version deserves a 8.5/10 .do I'll give a 9.
The movie is one of the many versions that are out there. One of them has Bruce Lee as the main actor.
The plot and the story are decent, I would even say that they are pretty good. The soundtrack is pleasant and the mov...( read more)ie has an excellent choreography ,incredible martial art styles and movements.
I also liked the heroine, she is beautiful.
If you like Jet Lee and martial arts please give it a go :).

If you never thought anyone would ever approach Bruce Lee's cockiness & skill in Martial Arts movies, think again!! With all due respect to Bruce Lee (& I was a huge fan), this movie blows "Enter the Dragon" away. It is the best Martial Arts movie I've ever seen. A remake of Lee'...( read more)s "Fists of Fury", but with better fight scenes & a better ending than the original too. If you're not a Jet Li fan, then the simple reason is that you haven't seen this Jet Li movie. I just wish he would do more remakes of Bruce Lee flicks, because this kind of action & quality is lacking in today's "Hollywood" martial arts movies.
