If you are a fan of the anime and manga series, DO NOT WATCH!! It totally destroys anything good from the original series and follows only pieces of the story. I heard the commentary on the DVD and Gary Daniels never even watched the series and had no idea there was a series made. I did watch it all the way through and some of the action is mediocre at best. If you must watch it, remember to forget anything of the original series and manga and see it only as a martial arts film.

This, one of extremely many one-liners spoken to the camera, so it can look cool in the trailer, is a perfect description of this film.
1995? I thought it was an 80s movie for sure. The special effects were good (for the 80s), but the acting was actually slightly more painful than having fingers stabbed into your chest.

in 1995 i carry this movie in mind all through that year and i still do.Watch this movie and feel the margic of a hero you will live for all through your life.Enjoy the IRON FIST...go go go go
This is a great disappointment. A famous Japanese cartoon that was made into a movie that sucked really bad. Messed up the story real bad and the characters and the fighting is really horrible.
I saw this a good few years ago and used it as my example of the worst film ever made...I may have been harsh but some times the truth hurts. I've seen a lot more bad films since I made this statement and would like to retract it. It is NOT the worst film ever made, merely ONE of the worst films ever made.
Utter crap, a horrible rendition of the original anime. Sure, movie adaptations take certain liberties, but come on, now! Ken had short hair, his girlfriend wasn't an asian (didn't even have an asian name in either the anime or this), the kid was mute, not bllind, and where did the "Cross Men" come from?!?

There are badly made movies and then there's fist of the north star. there are huge movie let downs and then there's fist of the north star, there's the potential for greatness and then being shot in the face and then there's fist of the north star.
avoid and all cost and just go with the original manga movie!!

Anyone Who KNows me knows this is the one movie i really want to see redone using todays special effects... hell if i have too ill write a script myself..im sure ill be able to find a director
