Demi Moore is never allowed to do an accent again. The script may account for some of the inconsistencies by remarking that she's a expatriated American, but such excuses can only go so far. The film is about disgruntled employees of a diamond company organizing a heist. There are a few moments when we're drawn in by the slickness of the plan, but there is little mystery beyond the logistics. We know Hobbs's motivations early on, and if this is where the film attempts to extract suspense, I didn't see it. Likewise, points about gender inequality and colonial pillaging seem tacked on. It is not as though this film leverages heist genre conventions in order to make a sociological point; rather, it is as though on the way to the set, the filmmakers realized that they should. Overall, though Michael Caine is always slick and fun to watch, the script fails to either pull itself together or keep us on the edge of our seat.

Not the best Michael Caine Film that?s out there but still its worth watching. About a robbery in 1969 of a Diamond Thief from the London Diamond Exchange. Demi Moore teams up with Michael Caine to pull off this heist. 3 1/2 stars.

its an okay movie, i like the concept and the stry isnt obvious so it does keep you wondering but it just doesnt entertain you for very long and it gets a little boring! i liked the ending and the way the story was portrayed but it was a little borimg!

60s period detail is lovingly created in this woefully unappreciated "gem" of a movie about a jewel heist. Michael Caine is great as expected, but so is Demi Moore, who gives a mature, sophisticated performance

Disappointing film. The film needed a rewrite. Demi Moore in my opinion was miscast. I think another actress like Cate Blanchett would have done better in that role. Michael Caine is great in the film and makes the film worth watching.

This film is about a janitor Mr. Hobbs (Michael Caine) and a senior member Laura Quinn (Demi Moore) in a diamond company implementing a flawless plan to steal 2 tonnes of diamonds stored inside a highly secured vault. This story was set in the 60's London, and remains true to the accuracy of the time. As the real mastermind of this inside job, Hobbs is a man who wants more than just gems or money (though we find that out later).

A lightweight thriller that tries to pull the rug out from under you but doesn't quite satisfy. The period setting is a nice touch and Moore and Caine are great but the modern day prologue and epilogue feel like they've been tagged on and add a moralistic touch that isn't needed and takes away from the overall enjoyment. If the film had focussed on Caine's character rather than Moore's it would have been all the more interesting.

Great movie with a fantastic story plot that follows the plan of two individuals (played by Demi Moore and Michael Caine) who choose to steal diamonds from a London bank. The ultimate goal: vengence, at any cost. Definitely worthy.
