AKA Revenge of the Living Dead

Bill ("I'm the first ghoul") Hinzman uses up the last of his 15 minutes to further muck up the zombie genre with this late 80's Night of the Living Dead ripoff/remake.

    Pedestrian.

A surprisingly well made, low budget film. The dialogue was horrible, and cheesy. The actors were terrible. But the zombies definitely made the movie worth while. They were pretty vicious compared to the George Romero style zombies, and seemed to be smarter, and stronger than you...( read more)r average zombie. The gore scenes were pretty righteous, and there were several scenes with unnecessary nudity.. hey, anyone watching a movie called Flesheater (Zombie Nosh) gets off on gore to a certain degree, why not throw in some nudity? It's masturbation for us all on some level. This movie does not drastically differ from any other mainstream zombie movie, but it is worth seeing. Some sweet 80's hair-do's as well...

Hilarious and gory film starring the cemetery zombie from NOTLD, Bill Hinzman. This film is nowhere near NOTLD's calibre, but as a goofy, gory and incredibly stupid/entertaining film it works on all counts. The best compliment I can give it is that I fully intended to only watc...( read more)h it for half an hour before bed and wound up watching the whole film in a type of awe. Recommended for those of you with terrible taste, like me.

This movie is basically Night of The Living Dead made in the eighties. The acting is horrible, not one cast member does a good job, the plot is predictable but that's what makes an eighties movie.

Bill Hinzmann (Cemetery Zombie from NOTLD) produces, directs, and acts in this ...( read more)fun zombie movie. He plays the Flesh Eater who starts the whole zombie plague when some ignorant redneck digs up his grave. He then procedes to kill rednecks and many a teenager in viscious ways.

To tell the truth this film had some amazing gore effects. A girl's heart is ripped out, Hinzmann pushes his hand through the torso of an unsuspecting victim, along with many amazing headshot sequences. This is one of the goriest zombie movies I've seen next to Dawn of the Dead and Fulci's "Zombi" flicks. The blod starts flowing across the screen ten minutes into the movie and it is quite entertaining to see these characters get killed off in a variety of ways.

I still think the plot was alot more effective in Night of The Living Dead but Hinzmann did an exceptional job directing this. Fans of low budget horror will love this and hardcore fans of Romero's masterpiece will hate it but thinking of this as a remake of NOTLD might help.

All in all, i recommend this to any gore fan, zombie fan, and cheap eighties movie fan because it's a great installment in low budget filmaking.

Shame on you Bill Hinzman. You took a great zombie character from Night of the Living Dead and made it so laughably bad. And where did he find these "actors". There is absolutely nothing good about this horror movie, nothing!
