For Keeps refers to the single harshest reality facing a pregnant teenager. When high schooler Darcy Elliot (Molly Ringwald) finds herself with child, her reactions are mixture of horror and ecstasy. Eventually, she realizes that she's going to have to do a lot of growing up in a hurry--and she's not altogether certain she can do it.
