With only a few exceptions (the Back to the Future series and a couple of others), Michael J. Fox has been unable to translate his TV success into movie stardom. It may just be a poor choice of...( read more  read more... ) material, such as with this limp Barry Sonnenfeld comedy about a New York hotel concierge trying to save up for his own hotel. What's he saving? The massive tips he gets from hotel guests for whom he does all manner of favors. But his conscience is tested when he falls for the mistress of one of his wealthiest clients and finds he must choose between his integrity and his dream. Fox is appealing, and so is Gabrielle Anwar, as the woman who changes him. But neither can rescue this slow-witted gloss on The Apartment. And what is Sonnenfeld, the stylish director of Men in Black and Get Shorty, doing with this dog? --Marshall Fine

    you can't go too far wrong with MJF in a movie. a nice simple love tale that's nicely told and has the gorgeous anwar along side nice guy MJF.

    I really quite liked this 90s Rom-Com. It was light hearted, humourous and a cute little storyline. Although slow in places, Michael J Foxs performance is great and funny which will keep the scenes going.
    A great Michael J Fox film.

    This movie is saved by the Michael J. Fox & Gabrielle Anwar. He plays a hotel concierge who is trying to save up to own his own hotel, she plays the mistress of one the the hotel's frequent guests. The guy is rich which also equals dickhead in movies and asks Fox to "babysit" her...( read more) while he is with his wife, on business, yada yada. If you can't guess that Fox & Anwar will fall for each other, sorry for ruining the movie. This movie is pretty cliched but I think it does more with charm and likability than most movie of its kind.
